Ultimate Skin Renewal: Laser Rejuvenation and Microneedling at Zanya Medispa & Aesthetics, Randburg

Laser hair removal, explained.

A 4-wavelength medical diode laser with Cryosheer Aqua cooling, suitable across skin tones. Every course begins with a consultation and a patch test.

How it works

Light, absorbed by the hair.

The laser delivers a brief pulse of light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair and converted into heat at the root. That heat disrupts the follicle, so the hair that grows back is finer, slower and sparser.

Our diode laser combines four wavelengths, which is what lets the therapist match the setting to your skin tone and the depth of your hair rather than treating everyone the same way. Cryosheer Aqua cooling chills the skin while the light is delivered, which is why most clients describe the feeling as a warm flick.

Hair grows in cycles, and the laser only reaches hair in its growth phase. That is why a course is a series of sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, not a single visit.

Is it for you

Skin tone and hair colour

The laser targets pigment, so it works on the colour of the hair, not the colour of the skin. Our four wavelengths can be set for lighter and deeper skin tones, and a patch test at your first visit confirms your settings before any area is treated.

Questions

Good to know

Does laser hair removal hurt?

Most clients describe it as a warm flick. The Cryosheer Aqua cooling on our diode laser keeps the skin cool while the light is delivered, which is what makes it comfortable.

Is it safe for darker skin?

Yes. A 4-wavelength diode laser can be set for different skin tones. We confirm your settings with a patch test at your first visit.

How many sessions will I need?

Hair grows in cycles, so most areas need a course of 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, then occasional top-ups.

How do I prepare?

Shave the area 24 hours before, avoid sun and self-tan for two weeks, and stop waxing or plucking for four weeks so the root is present for the laser.

Start with a consultation and a patch test.
